I’m so thankful for Lisa at The Hope Initiative for telling me about Camp Graves. I had no idea there was a resource of this kind in our area. I was in a homeless situation while waiting for my house, with a 13 year old daughter, and had 8-9 months ahead of me; a scary situation. Lisa contacted Camp Graves for me and within a week, we had shelter to call home for those months we were waiting for the house. Without Camp Graves, I don’t know what I would have done. I enjoyed the time spent there. It was safe, quiet, and even has free laundry on site. For me, being there gave me back my pride and dignity from what the “homeless” situation took away. I can’t say enough good things about Camp Graves. I want more people to know about this resource. I’m trying to help with that by word of mouth, social media, etc. Cassy and the crew there are fantastic, as well!
